The problem

Aruti was a people management SaaS with a growing customer base. The product was working. The churn was not catastrophic. But retention was soft, customers were not staying as long as they should, and expansion revenue was barely moving.
The online marketing motion was inconsistent. There was no structured strategy for keeping customers engaged after onboarding, and no system for turning satisfied customers into expanding ones.

What we actually did

We took over the online marketing strategy and rebuilt it around the customer lifecycle, not just acquisition.

We mapped the full post-sale journey, identified where engagement dropped off, and built a consistent content and communication strategy that kept Aruti visible and useful to customers between renewal conversations. We also introduced a structured expansion motion, making it easier for the team to identify customers who were ready to grow and have that conversation at the right time.

The engagement has been ongoing since January 2022, which means the systems we built have had time to compound.

What moved

Customer retention improved by 40%. Revenue from existing accounts grew by 30%. The marketing motion went from reactive to consistent, and the team now has a clear system for managing customer relationships at scale.

What this tells us

1

Retention is a marketing problem as much as a product problem. Customers who feel unseen churn.

2

Expansion revenue does not happen on its own. You need a deliberate motion to identify and pursue it.

3

Consistency beats intensity. A steady, well-executed marketing presence compounds over time.

4

Long-term engagements outperform short-term fixes. The best retention results take quarters, not weeks.
