“Relevant and meaningful experience in all areas we required assistance with. Great folks to work with.”

The problem

OnRes had a solid product. Their all-in-one hotel management SaaS was trusted by independent lodging operators across North America. But their growth had stalled. Demo requests were coming in, and most of them were going nowhere.

The website was not positioned to convert. The knowledge base was outdated. The sales motion was unclear. Prospects arrived, looked around, and left without booking. The team knew something was broken but could not pinpoint where.

What we actually did

We started where the leak was biggest: the website and the sales entry point.

We ran a full competitive analysis and repositioned OnRes’s product messaging to speak directly to independent hotel operators rather than the broad hospitality market. We rewrote the website to reflect that sharper positioning, rebuilt the knowledge base from HTML pages into a fully functioning self-serve tool, and laid the foundations for a social and email marketing strategy to keep prospects warm between touchpoints.

We also tightened the sales qualification criteria so the team was spending time on the right leads, not every lead.

What moved

Demo conversions increased by 65% within the first engagement period. Sales-accepted leads grew by 25%. The knowledge base went from a static HTML document to a self-serve resource that reduced inbound support queries and gave prospects confidence before they ever spoke to the team.

What this tells us

1

A great product with weak positioning will lose to an average product with clear messaging. Fix the story before you fix the sales motion.

2

The knowledge base is part of the sales process. Prospects who can self-educate close faster.

3

Narrowing your ICP does not shrink your market. It focuses your energy on the buyers who actually convert.

4

Sales-accepted lead quality matters more than volume. More leads into a broken funnel just means more wasted time.
